This offering is for applicants who know that they want to go to business school but are not sure which schools to apply to. When it comes to choosing where to apply, you might have no idea or you might have some idea but are unsure.
Applicants who have been dinged in round 1 and are looking to apply in subsequent rounds also find this offering useful. This is not useful for applicants who know exactly what school they want to apply to.
Choosing the right schools is important for a couple of reasons.
First, you want to pick a set of institutions that has three types of schools - ‘reach’ schools where you have a shot but it’s difficult to get in. Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton fall into this category for the majority of our clients. Then there are ‘competitive’ schools where you have a greater than 70% chance of getting accepted. Finally, there are ‘safety’ schools where you have a greater than 90% chance of getting in. You want to have a balance of these schools based on your background and career goals.
Second, you want to go to a school that is a good cultural fit. Our data-driven personality assessment makes sure that we recommend institutions where you’ll thrive. Things such as fit for case-based versus project-based pedagogy, preference for living in a city versus a rural are taken into consideration.
Finally, you want to go to a school that fits your career ambitions. Do you have a management consulting background and aspire to work at a fintech startup after your MBA? Are you looking to transition from sales to finance? Different schools fit the bill for each ambition and goal.
Right after you check out, you will receive a confirmation mail that’ll have a link to a proprietary test. This test helps us understand key aspects of your personality and background. We take everything into consideration - right from your test scores and undergraduate institution to your career ambitions. Our extensive network of former Admissions Committee members, Graduate Coaches, and Inspira alumni provides us constant updates on how schools are changing and what type of applicants each school is focused on in any give year and application round.
We get this question a lot. We can tell you with a high degree of confidence if your profile will be competitive for those schools. But we cannot tell with certainty if you’ll get in or not. In fact, nobody can. Your acceptance depends on several factors including your story, test scores, industry sector, etc.
If we think your profile is not a great fit for Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton (or other top schools you’re interested in) we will also tell you what you can do to make your profile competitive. Further, we will also provide our perspective on which schools you’ll be a competitive candidate for and which ones should be a breeze for you.
